Home Group: 2nd & 4th Thursday Evenings in Durham and Chapel Hill (Rotating)
for more information, contact elizabeth efird @ firstname.lastname@example.org
We meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 7:30pm. We rotate between homes in Durham and Chapel Hill. Our format is informal. We usually share what's been going on in each person's life and then pray for one another. We have done other formats, too, (e.g. read a fable about faith and talked about it), but it just depends what's been going on.

Our small group consists of about 8 people and we meet weekly Tuesday evenings at 7pm until about 9pm. The location of our meetings changes from week to week, but we generally rotate among houses in Durham. Each week, someone brings snacks to share and we spend the first hour of our time eating together and sharing about our lives and what's going on with each of us. We then share prayer requests and pray for each other. We spend the second hour reading a book or book of the Bible and then talking about what we have read. We decide as a group which books we'd like to read; we are currently reading the book Dear White Christians by Jennifer Harvey.

We meet on Wednesday mornings at 10 am and all are welcome. The goal of our group is to develop relationships and provide support for each other. During the summer, we will mostly be meeting outside at playgrounds as some of us have kids (and some don't), and that seems the best way to be able to still have meaningful conversations.
