Sunday, Sept 5
Joshua 10-21
We are going to take on a long section of Joshua this week, chapters
10-21. This narrative involves two significant themes, the completion
of the conquest of the land and the distribution of the land. The
message is highly theological and for the writers of the Scriptures
points more toward God's future than the past events it records. In
preparation for our conversation, I encourage you to reflect on how the
past of Israel shapes the future expectations and actual future of God's
people throughout time.
After Gathering Potluck, this Sunday Sept 5
After our gathering, join us at Phil and Susan's Jakes, 805 Watts Ave
(walking distance from the Reality Center) for a potluck! Bring
whatever you can and we'll look forward to spending some social time
together!

Welcome!

Emmaus Way is a community of people committed to following Jesus
Christ. Jesus' mandate, that we love one another as we love ourselves,
encourages us to look beyond our own interests to the needs of others.
Pursuing this requires us to deepen our frienships with one another, to
help each other where there is need, and to encourage one another to
look outside ourselves.
