Theologically, we are orthodox, following and valuing the historical narrative of Christianity as expressed in the creeds such as the Nicene Creed, and inclusive, welcoming any who wants to fellowship with us.
Here are our values, as expressed in our Minister's Liturgy, which is our rite of belonging.
To imitate Christ in thought, word, deed and affection. To simplify our lives through seeking sustainability in the use of our time, resources, and environment. To engage missionally in Durham and our larger communities as a redemptive presence and in faithful service. To foster proximity and mutuality amongst our fellow ministers, and to work toward diversity and reconciliation in this community. To encourage one another in love through truthful speech, support, and prayer. To cultivate the disciplines of: continual prayer; consistent and collective study of the word of God as found in the Holy Scriptures; participation in the daily life of the community; spiritual discernment; and authentic dialogue.
