missional partners

At Emmaus Way, we seek to pay attention to God at work in the Durham area and come alongside that work.  Below are partnerships we are communally invested in.

Have an idea for another partnership? Please share! We strive to work together to explore the passions of our community.

  • Durham CAN (Congregations Associations and Neighborhoods) is a broad-based, non-profit organization that works to coalesce, train, and organize communities in Durham across religious, racial, ethnic, class, and geographic lines for the public good. Our primary goal is to develop local leadership and organized power to change the conditions that prevent low- and moderate-income families from improving their circumstances.

The Religious Coalition for a Nonviolent Durham (RCND) comes alongside those most-affected by our collective violence through vigil ministry among loved ones of homicide victims, support teams for citizens returning from prison, and restorative justice practices that repair the harm caused by wrongdoing. As a non-profit organization, we exist to empower neighbors into healing relationships with neighbors in the places Durham hurts most.

Supporting

our Artists

We love to show up where our artists are playing gigs or exhibiting art. Check out our calendar to find out what next show you might check out with the community!

Hitting the Streets

Emmaus Way regularly shows up at Moral Monday Movements and other protests for justice and equality throughout our city, state and country. Pay attention to our social media for where we're headed to march.
